2013 WITC Craft Fair

We had another great turn out this year.  I brought the furniture, made a few infinity scarves, and had a few left over bags and mittens.  Jennifer made some adorable headbands for little girls, non slip headbands for all ages, and had some crocheted infant hats.  Mom and dad made a tote full of wool mittens.  Grandma and Grandpa are giving all the money to the grandkids!
Our booth turned out great!  It was like our own little store.  If only we could open a real store!

Before/After

New Projects

Giving my sewing machine a rest for a while, I decided to try something new.  My LOVE for garage sales resulted in my garage being filled with different furniture pieces.  I am interested in and love the look of the latest trend of shabby chic furniture.  After a talking with a  few ladies at a local vintage sale, I decided to go for it.  I bought my first jar of chalk paint and made the long drive to Minneapolis to find a store that sold Annie Sloan wax.  I then had to watch many you tube videos on how to work with these new products.  I have included some before and after pictures.

Dresser Before

I wish I had an entry way in my house.

This little blue dresser looked great in blue!

All ready to go!

Fellow vendor who fell in love with the heart mittens and had to get before they were gone.
Kori's neclaces are beautiful - I have one.

We had more items than we thought.

Mom and Dad made some great displays for us.
Mom's bootie display before....

Mom's bootie display after!

Our table after.
We were able to carry out the remaining items in one armful to the car.  Not bad!

The craft show was a success!  Thanks to everyone who came out to say hello.  We had no idea what to expect on Saturday, just hoping that it would be better than the last craft sale (or should I say "no sale").  I was also hoping that staying up until 2:30 am the night before would be worth it- and it was.  Jennifer and I set up early Saturday morning, spending time making sure everything looked just right. The doors opened at 9:00 and by 10:00 people started pouring in the doors.  Mittens were a popular sell with the crocheted hats getting great reviews.  Mom even found time to make some adorable handmade baby booties.  She was worried that they would not sell but as soon as people felt how soft they were, they were gone.
Jennifer and I will continue to stay busy until the holiday season is over filling the orders that we took on Saturday.  Let us know if you need anything!

Craft Show

We will be at WITC in New Richmond this Saturday from 9:00-3:00.  Great time to get some Christmas shopping done.

Favre Favorite

A co-worker of mine has a LOVE for Brett Favre.  She collected shirts from each of the NFL teams he has played for and was even able to find a flag from Favre's college days.  I was able to use that as the inside pocket.  I thought this was a great way to put old T-shirts to good use.  I have a Minnestoa Viking/Twins fan that would also like a bag made.  Great way to show support for your favorite team.
